Welcome to by.Video - a private, end-to-end encrypted video calling platform built for simplicity and privacy.

By using by.Video, you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

by.Video is operated by Vixly AS, based in Tromsø, Norway.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use by.Video. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

If you are under 16, you may only use by.Video under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian and in compliance with applicable laws.

Privacy

We are committed to privacy by design.

• We do not collect, store, or share any personal data.
• We use no cookies.
• The only optional personal data is your name, which is stored locally in your browser and only shared with other participants during a live call.
• Media communication is end-to-end encrypted.

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

To keep by.Video safe for everyone, you may not use the service to:

• Share, stream, or display pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene content.
• Engage in harassment, bullying, hate speech, or threats.
• Promote or participate in illegal activities.
• Exploit or harm minors in any way.
• Transmit malware, spam, or engage in deceptive or fraudulent behavior.
• Record or monitor calls without the clear and informed consent of all participants.
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the service.
• Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the operation or security of by.Video.
• For excessive monitoring, surveillance, or data collection.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access if these terms are violated.

No Warranty

by.Video is provided as is without any guarantees. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Use is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Norwegian law, Vixly AS is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. You are encouraged to review the latest version when using the service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tromsø, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
