by.Video is the privacy-first video calling service that puts you in control. On this page, we'll explain in clear terms how your calls remain private, secure, and untracked, without requiring any downloads, accounts, or apps.

Browser-Based Only, No App Needed

by.Video works directly in your browser using WebRTC technology. This means:

• No software to install
• No background services
• No permissions granted outside the browser tab

You click a link, your browser connects you directly to the other person - that's it.

End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) with WebRTC

WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is a secure, open-source standard built into modern browsers. It allows browsers to connect peer-to-peer (or device-to-device) and encrypt the data stream end-to-end:

• Audio/video are end-to-end encrypted betweeen each participant
• All signaling are always encrypted
• Even we (by.Video) can't see, record, or access your conversation
• by.Video supports up to 6 participants per room, each with a direct E2EE connection to every other person

No Tracking, No Cookies, No Accounts

We collect zero personal data:

• No names*, emails, or phone numbers
• No browser fingerprinting
• No cookies, ad IDs, or analytics trackers

* If you choose to enter your name before joining a call, that name is stored only in your browser for your convenience. It is never saved by by.Video.

Your usage leaves no trace.

You Control Your Links

Each room link is permanent - until you decide it's not:

• You can reuse a room link or generate a fresh one at any time
• If you want a clean slate, just stop using an old link and share a new one
• You decide how disposable or persistent each link should be

No history. No archives. No forced expiration.

Transparent Architecture

We're building by.Video with full transparency:

• We use open standards (WebRTC, DTLS, SRTP)
• Our infrastructure is stateless for video traffic
• We do not store or process call content

We believe privacy shouldn't be an add-on - it should be the default.
